Big Brother 13 fans rode quite the rollercoaster ride yesterday with 2 evictions, a nomination ceremony and POV competition. If you think that’s a lot, the houseguests endured another HOH competition after the live cameras stopped rolling as well.

Two of the biggest players this season were eliminated last night: Jeff and Daniele and fans seem to have mixed reactions over the news. But enough with the old news, let’s get to the new stuff.

The heat wave that’s wilted Oklahoma this summer has changed what residents are entering in the 97^th annual Oklahoma County Free Fair this weekend.

Entries in the horticulture and canning competitions have dropped, but the artistic contests have an abundance of entries, said Gale Goodner, spokesman for the Oklahoma County Extension Service.

“When it was so hot, I guess they went in and made a quilt,” Goodner said. “Overall, it’s really pretty good for as many hot days as we’ve had.”

SINGER Amy Winehouses family believes she was killed by quitting alcohol, The Sun reported today.

They believe the singer’s decision to lay off alcohol completely for three weeks was a lethal ”shock” for her tiny body.Family sources told the newspaper that the Rehab singer, who was found dead aged 27 on Saturday, was killed after ignoring her doctor’s advice to cut down on her heavy drinking gradually.Her family believe she was killed by a seizure because her tiny frame could not cope with such a dramatic withdrawal.A source close to Amy’s family said: ”Abstinence gave her body such a fright they thought it was eventually the cause of her death”.The soul singer was seen drinking gin and other alcoholic drinks at the iTunes festival at the Roundhouse in Camden, North London, according to The Sun.

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is off to a fast start in its $75 million expansion campaign.

Officials said Thursday as they kicked off a public fundraising campaign that they’ve already received more than $56 million in commitments for an expansion that will more than double the size of the hall of fame. They announced plans to add more than 200,000 square feet of exhibit, classroom and archival space and an 800-seat theater.

When complete, the museum will be connected to the new Nashville convention center project across the street.

Alan Jackson and Ricky Skaggs helped kick off the campaign with music and Ford Motor Co. chairman Bill Ford and Nashville Mayor Karl Dean made appearances. Read more…

Swedish duo The Sound Of Arrows release their second single for Geffen today, entitled “Magic“.

With the stunning music video/short movie for the track spreading across the web like wildfire, notching up around 800,000 views, and the band apparently named by Madonna as an influence on her new record, things are looking suitably bright in The Sound of Arrows camp.

Amidst a slew of festival appearances, they have also unveiled a remix of the track by Tom Staar. Hear the remix here.
