Cause Of Amy Winehouse Death ‘Inconclusive’

The cause of Amy Winehouse‘s death remains inconclusive, following an autopsy performed yesterday.

Although many observers have made the presumption she died of some kind of drug overdose, her family disputed these claims as reported yesterday, dismissing the claims as “nonsense“.

A confirmation on her cause of death will take between two and four weeks while her family await the results of a toxicology test, with an inquest at London’s St. Pancras Coroners Court adjourned until October 26, according to Rolling Stone.

A clinical psychologist yesterday that Amy rejected help from a government-run facility, opting instead to receive treatment at The Priory, a regular haunt for celebrities dealing with addiction. The doctor, Ash Medford, adds that a report at the hospital warned that “if she doesn’t receive state help, state psychological help, then it’s more than likely that she will not reach the age of 28.

Medford, who was once a neighbour to the singer, said: “One of the big problems is that [celebrities such as Winehouse] choose to have their own therapy“, “That doesn’t work as a clinical psychologist, you can’t have somebody coming to pay you for it.

She was offered a lot of therapy, she chose to go to Priory because she could basically choose her own therapy then. So that was the biggest problem with it… She went to pay so that she could be told what she wanted.

Her funeral took place today at a London synagogue according to NME, with her family following the Jewish tradition of burying the body as soon as possible after the death.
