Amy Winehouse Launches Comeback at Stealth London Show

This calls for a drink…of the finest non-alcoholic champagne money can buy. After a quick week in rehab — by her own volition, mind you — British chanteuse Amy Winehouse seems to have emerged victorious. She performed a stealth warm-up show this past Sunday at London’s 100 Club and, according to media reports, appeared not only sober but, also, at the top of her game. The secret show was in preparation for a run of significantly larger summer shows scheduled throughout Europe beginning on June 22 in Greece. British tabloid the Sun reports that Winehouse dazzled the audience like the songstress of old, minus the slurred speech and dilated pupils. She reportedly performed hits including ‘Rehab’ (ahem), ‘Back to Black,’ and ‘Valerie’ as well as some all-important new material. Winehouse has a new album in the can but her record label held out on setting a release date until Winehouse had her act together. They can start plotting and planning, now. Between songs at the 100 Club, Winehouse was apparently in fine spirits — if you pardon that expression — making jokes about her boobs, her famous father Mitch Winehouse and her overall appearance.
